EMI radiographer appointed to prestigious non-profit role

Epworth Medical Imaging MRI Supervisor, Chris Kokkinos, has been appointed to the prestigious position of president-elect of the Society for MR Radiographers and Technologists (SMRT), a section of the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM).

Chris will be formally appointed in April this year. He brings significant leadership and involvement within SMRT to date, as well as his research and knowledge and experience within the industry. As part of the executive committee and as an administrative policy board liaison, Chris will undertake strategic planning and policy making.

“I have always been committed to the ongoing education of MR radiographers and technologists and I understand the important contribution that the SMRT can continue to make within the industry,” says Chris. “It is a real honour to be appointed and I will continue to be passionate about knowledge sharing and keeping the MR community up to date with MRI best practise.”
